Lib shared this video with me and I really enjoyed its global, nostalgic perspective on the potential of cycling to connect people with the world. It also reminds me of all the resistances a cyclist must face here and how far off a bicycle eden lies; I really must get to Amsterdam.

"What The Day Had To Say"
Here is a freshly recorded version of “What The Day Had To Say” with a big empty instrumental third verse. It needs a walking bass track throughout, and a guitar solo on the first half of the instrumental verse that gives way to a bass solo on the second half. It could also use a brushy little shuffle on the snare. Take your pick. It was recorded to a click at 150 BPM.

All-star Video To Obama's "Yes We Can" Speech
Obama Is A Poem
I’ve got Obama fever. It may be because, as the LA Times published today in their endorsement: “Obama is a poem, lyric and filled with possibility.”
Ben told me about this fantastic poster over at Obey Giant.
Syd Butler of Les Savy Fav
I went to highschool with Syd. We used to play soccer. His band, Les Savy Fav, just came through Austin and I missed them here, but I just listened to them on KEXP and found this video. In addition to playing bass for the band, he founded and runs French Kiss Records. It was very interesting and instructive to hear his musing on the music biz from Austin, SXSW ’06.
