While I was using the photo scanner and printer at the drug store I kept my cousin Matt busy with photographic assignments. One of the them was to ask people if he could take their picture for fun. This was the only guy that agreed. I love his look.

[photopress:smoosh200_3.jpg,full,alignright] This is Smoosh. I heard this song as part of a live performance in the L.A. studio of the Morning Becomes Eclectic podcast. I was amazed to learn that they are sisters Asya (13) with songs, vocals, and keyboards, and Chloe (11) on drums. I think they are amazing and cannot stop listening to this song. Her vocals reminds me of J. Mascis (Dinosaur Jr.) or Bob Pollard (Guided By Voice). Check their record label page for more info.

T-bone recorded me playing guitar and singing some of the songs I’ve written with students. Now I’ve added some sort of melancholy background vocals to But My Soul and Song For Andrew and some other effects to Too Much. I like them, but they really aren’t kids songs anymore. Not sure what they are. I’ve never used the comments feature of this blog, but I’d like some feedback, if anybody has any ideas about what to do with these things.
