Javi turned me on to Kelly a few years ago and told me he was in town. I hadn’t been to End of an Ear, the new used record and cd shop on So. 1st, so I checked him out there. Here’s a crappy phone recording:
SXSW: Wednesday Night
Maile and I biked down to catch some of the first night of SXSW and ended up standing on the bridge outside Stubb’s in the misty evening for a lovely listen to this wonderfully melodic Scotish band. The sound was quite good. Here is a crappy little snippet recorded via my phone. Don’t know how much use it is to anyone, but I’m still enamoured with the ability to dial a number and record.
Maile and her ESL non-profit, English at Work, were the subject of an article on the LBJ School’s web site.
Here I am at the Egos gig from Friday, March 10th. We had a great time playing with DJ PhD – aka p – and partyin’ down at his place. It was recorded in Garageband on my laptop which was right nexto my guitar amp, so the whole thing is guitar heavy and bass overdriven.
